These works are typical of the range of subjects that inspire Merran's creativity. Her love of her home region, the Hunter Valley in NSW. Her love of flowers is evident in still lifes. In recent years she has travelled throughout Europe and like the impressionsist before her she has been captivated by the light and texture of southern Europe. The paintings of Provence in this collection reflect her love of the area.
